Way back in a different life (2004) I became one of the first 30 podcasters in the world. Big publications like Wired, USA Today and New York Times wrote about a little show called Insomnia Radio. It was a great ride.

But when it comes to Linux, yea, I wasn't exactly an early adopter! When I finally took the permanent plunge in mid-2018, though, the excellent library of shows at Jupiter Broadcasting became a constant source of inspiration to expand my Linux knowledge.

I even got a few minutes to share my rookie perspective of things as a guest on Late Night Linux and Linux Unplugged. Of course I got a taste for being on the mic again, rambling on about something I'm insanely passionate about. Those episodes seemed to resonate with people.

So when Jupiter Broadcasting host and producer Joe Ressington approached me with the possibility of joining their badass network, I pondered it for approximately 5 seconds.

Joe pitched the idea of a podcast that would chronicle my random projects and discoveries along my Linux journey. And I wanted to capture the excitement of how it feels to be a new Linux user – along with whatever silly failures and encouraging accomplishments came with it.

Joe and I spent the next two months brainstorming a format that would compliment our unique approaches to Linux. Me, the fresh-faced gleeful rookie. Joe, the somewhat cynical but grounded Linux veteran.

Choose Linux was born, and damn it's been hard to keep secret!

A big rowdy thanks to Joe, Chris Fisher, and everyone at Jupiter for bringing me into the network and letting me share my passion for this on one of my favorite platforms. And a big thanks to you for being part of this community.
